The Healthier Dining Grant is a funding scheme offered by HPB to help our Partners promote healthier menu options under the Healthier Dining Programme.
|Healthier Dining Grant Criteria|
|Eligible First-time Grant Applicants||Healthier Dining Programme partners (“HDP Partners“) which have ≥3 outlets operating in the following types of F&B establishments may apply for the Healthier Dining Grant (“HDG“):
HDP Partners which have ≥3 outlets operating in the following types of F&B establishments may apply for HDG provided that no nutritional services have been utilised:

HDP Partners which have ≥1 outlets operating in the following types of F&B establishments may apply for HDG:

 Digital ordering platforms (e.g. company website and/or phone app) may count as 1 outlet provided these platforms features and promotes healthier offerings tagged with HDP identifiers
|Application Period||Applications for the HDG can be made at any time during the period of participation of the HDP Partner in the Healthier Dining Programme.|
|Eligible Second-time Grant Applicants||A HDP Partner which has been granted a HDG previously may reapply for a new HDG either (a) after the completion of all deliverables and the full disbursement of the amount granted under the previous HDG, or (b) upon the expiry and/or lapse of the previous HDG, provided that the following conditions are met:
(i) the HDP Partner must add ≥3 new endorsed items to its menu OR ≥1 endorsed dish per stall in addition to the existing endorsed items; AND/OR
(ii) the HDP Partner must use healthier oil for all cooking and food preparations (if it has not already done so)
 Applicable to HDP partners belonging to food court and institutional caterer (canteen) settings
|Application by Holding Company||Where a HDP Partner is a holding company, each of its F&B business is entitled to make one (1) HDG application, or combined with other F&B businesses to make one (1) HDG application. No duplicate applications are allowed for each F&B business.|
|Grant Amount||Under the HDG, HPB will reimburse the marketing and publicity costs incurred by the HDP Partner in relation to the production of approved in-store marketing materials or online marketing materials aimed at promoting the healthier dishes endorsed by the Health Promotion Board (“HPB“) under the Healthier Dining Programme (“Qualifying Costs“).Subject to the results of any checks conducted by HPB to ensure that the Qualifying Costs quoted are at competitive rates, HPB will reimburse the HDP Partner up to 80% of the Qualifying Costs actually incurred, up to the approved grant amount. The remaining 20% of the costs incurred will be borne by the HDP Partner.
The total amounts that may be awarded under the HDG will be determined as follows. Where the HDP Partner has made an application for the HDG in respect of two (2) or more F&B Businesses, the number of endorsed items shall be determined based on the average number of endorsed items of the F&B Businesses listed in such application:
Food Partners (Restaurants, QSRs, Cafes, Kiosks, Chains)
Food Partners (Bakeries) and Beverage Partners (Cafes, Kiosks, Chains)
Food Courts / Institutional Caterers (Stalls)
Event Caterers / Institutional Caterers (Dining Hall / Free Flow)
Any costs incurred by the HDP Partner in excess of the approved grant amount will be borne by the HDP Partner.
 Qualification of grant quantum will be based on either the number of buffet and/or bento menus.
|Non-Qualifying Costs|| The following costs will not be covered under the HDG:
|Restrictions on Grant||The HDG will not reimburse costs incurred in connection with any project that:
|Grant Duration||All marketing and publicity initiatives for which the HDG is granted must be implemented within one (1) year of HDG approval in order to qualify for reimbursement under the HDG.|
WHAT does the Grant cover?
The HDG covers the costs incurred by the F&B business in qualifying marketing and publicity costs (referred to as the “Qualifying Costs”). Subject to the results of any checks conducted by HPB to ensure that the Qualifying Costs quoted are at competitive rates, the HPB will provide up to 80% of the Qualifying Costs (remaining cost to be fully borne by the F&B business), subject to a total grant cap outlined in the tables above. Where the HDG application is in respect of two or more F&B businesses, the number of endorsed dishes shall be determined based on the average number of endorsed dishes between the F&B businesses listed in the application.
HOW to apply
To apply for the HDG, HDP Partners are required to complete Application form for Healthier Dining Grant, along with quotations of the claim items.

WHEN to apply
Anytime within the HDP participation period.
All marketing and publicity initiatives for which the HDG is granted must be implemented within one (1) year of HDG approval in order to qualify for reimbursement under the HDG.
Partners must submit grant claims latest one month after end of grant qualifying period.
HPB shall approve disbursement of the grant when it is satisfied that the Partner has completed the production and implementation of the approved marketing materials for the promotion of healthier menu options.
Payment will be based on the Partner’s actual expenditure, up to the approved grant amount. The Partner will be required to submit to HPB the final progress report and grant claim form, sales uptake and together with any supporting documents (e.g. original copies of the relevant invoices and delivery orders, photo evidence of deliverables).
